As a certified data protection officer, Rosemarie Popa is responsible for supporting national and international customers in the area of data protection. She advises companies of all industries and sizes on data protection issues.
Rosemarie Popa studied administrative and commercial law at the University of Sibiu, where she successfully graduated with a degree in commercial and administrative law. She then managed civic social and legal affairs as a municipal clerk. In 1993, Rosemarie Popa moved to one of the largest mail order companies in Europe, where she worked for many years with a focus on fraud management, working on very complex projects. From 2011, as Team Manager Legal Enforcement, she took over the implementation of new processes, especially in the area of enforcement, at one of Europe’s leading debt collection companies. From 2011 to 2017, she regularly participated in congresses and discussion forums as well as seminars in the field of receivables management and data protection. As data protection coordinator, she was responsible for the implementation of data protection regulations and, as a member of a project team alongside other European colleagues, was jointly responsible for the implementation of the European General Data Protection Regulation in the company before she could be won over to work for MKM Datenschutz.
Rosemarie Popa has been a certified data protection officer at MKM Datenschutz GmbH since 2018.
