Thilo Märtin is a lawyer and founding partner of MKM+PARTNER. In addition to Data Protection and IT Law, he also specializes in the area of Intellectual Property Law. He provides comprehensive advice to national and international clients in all areas of European and German data protection law. Our consulting services are generally cross-sectoral, with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry as well as medical software developers and clients from the SGB V environment, such as health insurance companies or associations of panel doctors. The focus is on the design of complex data protection management systems, the drafting of contracts, the clarification of disputes in the area of copyright, competition and trademark law, as well as public procurement law issues in the SGB V environment.

He studied law at the Universities of Erlangen-Nuremberg and Münster and successfully passed both state examinations in Bavaria. He worked at the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision as a legal trainee. In addition, Thilo Märtin is an appointed expert for the ULD data protection seal of approval. Together with Michael Nitsch, he had already been entrepreneurially active in the Märtin & Nitsch Group since 2001 and has been working as an independent data protection consultant since 2004. His clients appreciate him for his openness and his pragmatic-entrepreneurial approach.

In addition, Thilo Märtin is an author for Haufe-Verlag and advises clients of the Franconian Chambers of Industry and Commerce, DATEV and the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts in workshops and seminars on issues of competition, copyright and data protection law. He is a member of the expert committee on data protection in the German Society for Law and Information Technology (DGRI). He travels throughout Germany as a speaker, for example at MedConf in Munich or DAFTA in Cologne.
